Born in
California,
earliest
memories
are of
Indiana,
and I
was
raised
in the
Tampa
Bay
area-
South
Tampa,
to be
exact.
As a
puppy I
remember
trying
to learn
the
theme
song to
“Dr.
Zhivago”
on the
guitar,
and I
may have
taken
lessons
for
about a
week,
but
after
hearing
Boots
Randolph,
my real
love was
the
saxophone.
Until
college,
when it
became
very
clear to
me that
the
guitar
was more
important
than the
sax-
many
apologies
to my
saxophone
instructor.
Nothing
personal.
So I’ve been playing for a LOT of years, but not much of it on stage. There was a recording project many years back that produced an album titled “Quest to be Normal” financed by a very good friend, and there’s talk of putting something else together. Beyond that, I’m just trying to keep things in balance- my wonderful and supportive family, my career, and my music! And it is an honor to be involved with such a great group of people that make up this band- Kickin’ Again!
