Ken Hoye - Hammond B3 and Keyboards

Besides the lucky star that has graced his life (beautiful wife, successful children, nice home, ect.) Ken Hoye was born under a rock. Literally!  In late January, 1950, he emerged on this earth next to a large boulder at the banks of Lake Erie near Cleveland, Ohio and promptly rolled down the embankment into the lake. Hence, Rock and Roll was born!  Had it not been for this incredible event that Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame would probably be in another city other than Cleveland. He grew up poor. If it had not been for the fact he was a little boy, he would not have had anything to play with as a child. At a very young age he picked up an accordion and discovered he was able to play any song that came to mind. Within only a few years, he became well-known as a keyboard virtuoso.

His family moved to the Tampa Bay Area in the late sixties. He is perhaps best known by the established natives of the area as the keyboard player for the extremely popular Might Manfred and the Wonderdogs.  Like many of the musicians of that time, he chose to accept the responsibility of the providing for and nurturing his family. For the next thirty years his love for family took precedence over his love for music. Now, as he approaches retirement, he has decided to resume his musical interest with Tampa' Bay's own Kickin' Again. His mastery of the Hammond B-3 organ is the foundation of the band's hard -driving unique sound.
