Mimi Logan - Vocalist & Percussion

Mimi is a singer born and raised in Washington, D.C.; who relocated to Sarasota, FL, in early 1995. Her first musical influence was of her grandmother; who sang in the church choir of The Ebenezer Methodist Church in Washington, D.C.

Later Mimi would also sing in the Ebenezer church choir and later sang as a studio vocalist for numerous music groups throughout the country during the early 1980’s.

Upon arriving in Sarasota, Mimi sang in Broadway musicals working with director Nate Jacobs in the theater productions of “Dream Girls”, where she played the colorful character of “Effie.”

Mimi also co-starred with Mr. Jacobs again in the musical production of “Bubbling Brown Sugar.” She also performed in Broadway musicals at the Players Theater, the Golden Apple Theater; and in music productions at The Florida Studio Theater in Sarasota, FL.

Her current projects include studio voice over narrations for several audio projects; singing with several music groups in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area and working with high caliber musicians and music ensemble productions in the SW, FL area.

Along with her Grandmother, her musical influence and inspiration come from artists such as: Mahalia Jackson, Yolanda Adams, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight; Dianna Ross; Barbara Streisand, Sheena Easton, Celine Dione; and Susan Boyle
